YEAR OF THE BIBLE
We are reading through the whole Bible this year. We are choosing to call it IMPRINT, because we are excited to see the lasting IMPRINT this will leave on our families, our church and our city as we study God’s Word together. A monthly Reading Plan will be available in print and on the YouVersion Bible App (plan: The One Year Bible). There are varying levels of plans from reading to exegetical Bible studies.
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
We absolutely believe that the Word of God always leaves a permanent, life-altering mark everywhere it goes. In fact, in Isaiah 55:11 God reminds us, “[My word] shall not return to Me void, but will accomplish what I desire, and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” As we faithfully study the Scripture and are obedient to what it says, it leaves an imprint on our hearts and minds and continually transforms us into the image of Jesus Christ. As we are transformed and “imprinted” with the Word of God in our hearts, we are able to extend that transformation to our city. As we live like Jesus, our communities will begin to reflect the imprint of the Word of God in the hearts and minds of the people within them. We are transformed by the Word of God, and in turn, we can impact our city.

MONTHLY POSTCARD READING PLAN
There will be a monthly postcard (bookmark) available with the reading plan should you choose a simple way to follow along with daily readings. These will be available at Guest Services in the main lobby and at the back of the sanctuary.
CELLULAR DEVICE/ PHONE APP
If you are interested in a digital way of staying on top of the daily readings, you can download the YouVersion Bible app and search for the The One Year Bible Plan. To line up with everyone else, you’ll need to start the plan on January 1st, 2018. If you are someone who enjoys reminders, you can set the app to notify you each day.
ADDITIONAL STUDY RESOURCES
If you are looking for additional ways to study the Word of God this year, there is The One Year Bible Companion (by Tyndale) which follows the same daily readings as above. This Companion would serve as a great tool to use on your own or in a Group as it provides introductions to each of the books of the Bible, information about authors and characters for each of the day’s readings, and asks questions that pertain to the daily readings. If this is of interest to you, it can be purchasd online in either a hard copy or digital format.
